The second world war

I think it was good that we read a part of the diary of Anne Frank because you understand better who it really was to become a jew under the second world war. You also understand the Frank family's life and why they were forced to hiding. The life the Frank family live are no life you think people can live.


The german people killed jews just because Hitler told them to do it and because Hitler didn't like them so he killed them without a good reason, but I think it never could be a good reason to kill someone.

Freedom Writers

1. Why is trust such an important component of a teacher-student relationship?
If you need help from the teacher is easier to ask her/him for help if you trust her/him. You must feel like you could talk about other things than about the school with the teacher. Some things maybe you couldn't talk with your parents with and then it's good to have an other adult to talk with.


2. How do the classmates learn to trust one another? How does reading and writing initiate this change?
When they understand that they aren't the only one who had lost a friend or something and understand that they are quite equal then they trust each other. The writing help them to think about their lives and that it just could become better. They had so many feeling inside and it helped when they could get them out with writing. The reading helped them because in the book there are people who had live a hard life exactly like them.


3. Describe the transition in Mrs. Gruwell’s classroom from the first day of freshman year through the end of the year – how have the students changed? How has Ms. Gruwell changed?
The students accepted each other more now than they did in the beginning. They don't care which color their classmates have or in what group they are in. In the beginning they fight much in the classroom, but that they didn't do now. Even the black could talk with the white now.
Mrs. Gruwell had divorced and she want to was at the school as much as she can to help the students.


4. Do you think it’s more important to “protect your own” or do what’s right?
It's always best to do what's right. Sometimes it could become hard to do what's right, but you feel better when you done the right thing. Sometimes are the right to protect your own, but it isn't so often.

5. In what ways does Ms. Gruwell’s classroom become a family for the students? Do you have a “family” outside of your actual family?
In the classroom the students feel safe. It was like their second home. They trust each other in the classroom and they could talk about everything.
Outside the classroom they couldn't feel safe because if they said wrong things at wrong places they could be killed.
I don't have a family outside my real.

6. What similarities are there between Woodrow Wilson High School and Apelskolan? How are they different?
At Woodrow Wilson High School you can't were with someone that didn't are in your group, but here at Apelskolan you could was with who you want. Here are no one who should hurt you if you say what you think, but at Woodrow Wilson High School are your life at death or life.

At Woodrow Wilson High School the teacher already had a thought about what you can or what you couldn't do, but here at Apelskolan the teachers learn you the same things and they don't have their own thoughts. The teachers here at Apelskolan are also friends and they talk with each other. At Woodrow Wilson they don't like each other so much, they must be the best all the time. An other teacher can't become better than you.

Musikvideo

Jag jobbade med Gabriel, Joel och Rebecka. Jag, Gabriel och Joel började med att planera hur vi skulle filma musikvideon genom att göra en storyboard (Rebecka var sjuk). Sedan filmade alla in de olika scenerna. Det var ganska svårt att komma på hur vi skulle filma in de olika scenerna och vad det var vi ville ha med, men när vi väl började filma kom vi på det ganska snabbt. Vi följde våran storyboard hyfsat bra.

När vi skulle filma in de olika scenerna var inte alltid alla på samma plats utan vissa försvann någon annanstans så vi fick springa runt och leta efter varandra och det tog lite tid. Efter två lektioner hade vi filmat in allt och de två sista lektionerna fixade vi redigeringen.

Jag var delaktig i det mesta i musikvideon. Jag hjälpte till att skissa på storyboarden, filma, vara med i filmen och att redigera. Det var jag och Rebecka som skötte redigering. Joel och Gabriel kom med lite tips ibland då och då.

Det vi kunde gjort annorlunda var att ha med fler känslor i refrängen, men vi kom tyvärr inte på fler när vi filmade in de. Vi skulle också kunnat ha något annat än bara en svart bakgrund under mellanspelet.


Jag blev väldigt nöjd med vår video och den blev mycket bättre än vad jag trodde den skulle bli. Det var också roligt att göra den tycker jag.

Stickad mössa

När jag började fundera på vad jag ville göra så visste jag inte riktigt vad jag ville göra, men sen så bestämde jag mig för att jag ville göra en mössa. Min mormor höll på med att sticka en mössa och hon hade en massa olika snygga mönster. Så jag valde ut ett av dem som jag ville göra.

Jag började med att lägga upp 96 maskor på rundstickor med storlek 4,5 mm. Jag började sticka på stickor med storlek 5 mm, men insåg efter ett tag att mössan skulle blivit för stor så jag fick börja om med mindre stickor. När jag lagt upp de 96 maskorna började jag sticka resåren. Jag stickade två am och två rm. När jag hade stickat fem centimeter började jag med att göra flätan. Jag fortsatte med resårstickningen. När jag gjorde flätan gjorde jag så här: jag satte tre maskor på en flätstickan och stickade de tre maskorna efter räta. Jag stickade sedan maskorna på flätstickan, även dem räta. När arbetet mätte 17 centimeter började jag minska maskorna och började använda strumpstickor istället för rundstickorna. När jag minskat tills det bara fanns tolv maskor kvar tog jag av tråden och sydde fast den i maskorna. Nu var mössan färdigstickad och det var dags att göra en tofs till den. Jag gjorde tofsen och sydde fast den på mössan.


Jag blev väldigt nöjd med mössan nu när den är färdig. Det som var svårast med att sticka mössan var i slutet när man började minska på maskorna. Det var då lätt att råka tappa maskorna, men det löste sig till slut. Det jag har lärt mig av detta är såklart att sticka en mössa. Jag visste inte hur man stickade flätor innan så det har jag också lärt mig.

Potatisgratäng och frallor

Denna gången skulle vi göra en vegetarisk rätt. Jag jobbade med Emilia och det gick bra. Vi bestämde oss för att göra en potatisgratäng och frallor till.

Vi gjorde så här:
Vi började med att sätta ugnen på 225°C och skar sedan potatisen i bitar. Vi skalade och skar även moroten, palsternackan, paprikan och löken i bitar. Vi la alltsammans i en smörad form och la på majs och lite matolja. Vi satte sedan in i ugnen.

Vi gjorde en enkel sås till också. Vi blandade bara crème fraiche och chilisås.

Vi gjorde även frallor till. Vi blandade rågmjöl, bakpulver, salt och socker i en skål. Det skulle egentligen varit farinsocker, men det fanns det inte. Eftersom det inte fanns någon filmjölk heller så fick vi ta lite crème fraiche och grädde och rörde samman till en deg. Vi tog upp degen på ett mjölat bakbord och rullade ihop till frallor som vi la på en plåt och satte in i ugnen.

Resultat:

Jag tyckte maträtten blev god och jag hade absolut kunna bjuda en vegetarisk vän på den. Det var en enkel rätt att tillaga och jag tycker vi fick med alla delarna på tallriksmodellen.

Writing
Florence was born 12th May 1820 in Florence, Italy. Florence parents were rich. She was young when she decided that she want do something useful with her life. She want to be a nurse, but her parent didn't want it because they want to get her married. The most of the middle-class women didn't have a career. She went to Germany to learn about nursing. In 1854, Florence and her team of 38 nurses went to Crimea (near Turkey). There they helped wounded soldiers. The military hospital were dirty and badly, so Florence made the hospital clean and safe. When she walked around at the hospital at the night she always had a lamp with her and that's why she got the nickname “The lady with the Lamp”. After the Crimean War Florence wrote a book about how to make hospitals better. She also said that nurses should learn through both experience and training. Florence died the 13th August 1910 in London.

Out of bounds

1. It had not happened so much in my book so far, because I haven't read so long.

I have read little about Nelson Mandela and that he is a famous prisoner. Four years after he got out of jail he be South Africa's first democratically president. It's also about that European's come to Africa for about 350 years ago as settlers. They want African's working for them. The Dutch were the first settlers in Africa, but all this was in the introduction and the foreword. I have just start reading the first chapter and it's about two girls', Marika and Veronica.

Random writing nr 2

When I come home from school I see an envelope at the ground and it was named to me. I opened the letter and in the letter it stay:
"Midnight, on the bridge. Come alone."

Who had write it? Why should I was at the bridge at midnight, alone? I didn't understand. I don't want to be there at midnight, but what is happening if I'm not there? So half past eleven I had decided me to walk to the bridge.

Köttfärspaj

Köttfärspaj

Vi började med att sätta ugnen på 225°.

Pajdegen:
När vi gjorde pajdegen så la vi 1 ½ dl vetemjöl i en skål och sedan smulade vi sönder 50 g kallt margarin med fingertopparna. Därefter tillsatte vi 1 msk vatten och arbetade samman till en deg. Vi ställde sedan degen i kylskåpet en liten stund. Vi tryckte sedan ut pajdegen i en pajform.

Fyllningen:
Vi började med att skala och hacka löken. Vi fräste sedan den i margarin. Sen höjde vi värmen lite och tillsatte färsen. Vi skar sedan paprika och blandade ner i färsen. Vi tillsatte salt, timjan, chilisås och vetemjöl och rörde om. Till sist la vi i lite grönsaksbuljong och kalvfond. Därefter lät vi köttfärsröran koka ca 5 minuter. När röran kokat i ca 5 minuter la vi den på pajdegen i pajformen och strödde på lite ost och satte sedan in den i ugnen i ungefär 20 minuter.

Vi tänkte kanske inte jättemycket på tallriksmodellen när vi tillagade maten. Vi borde kanske haft någon grönsak/sallad till pajen, men vi hade i alla fall paprika i pajen. Annars fick vi protein från köttfärsen och kolhydrater från degen.


Jag jobbade med Ida den här gången och det gick bra! Ida gjorde degen och hjälpte till lite med fyllningen. Jag gjorde fyllningen. Jag tyckte pajen blev väldigt god.

Can parents do anything to protect their child?

Parents can protect their child, but not always. The parents have often rules that their child must following. The child maybe not always following the rules, but the parents had said this rules to them because they try to protect them. The parents are not always with their child and then it could be hard to protect them. The parents maybe say to their child that they always should have a helmet when they bicycling so they don't hurt their head, but the children have a own choice and if they don't want to do something they don't do it.


My new year resolutions!
1. This year I want to be satisfied when I have make something.
2. I also want to get a summer work. Because if I get a work I earn my own money and I thought it is funnier to earn the money by myself.
3. I also want to become stronger this year. I want to train more fitness training because you need to become strong when you play football and floor ball.
4. I want to keep the time and don't be late to things.
5. My last new year resolution is that I want to help mum and dad more at home.
